Wiring Detection Circuits
Alldetectioncircuitsmaybew iredas"Endofline"(EOL)or"DoublePole"(DP).Bothmethodsc anbe
used on the same system.
Double Pole (DP)
The DP method requires the following:
The detectoralarm and tampercontacts are connected to the zone and tampertermin als
respectively.
The combined alarm an d tamper loop resistance must be l ess than 100 Ohms.
The maximum number of d etection devices allowed in a circuit is ten.
Normally open devices su ch as pressure pads and ex it terminator buttons are connected
between the zone and tamper terminals.
If the detection circuit is not used links can be fitted acros s the zone and tamper loops o r
programm ed as Not Us ed.
End Of Line (EOL)
The EOL method requ ires th e following:
The detector alarm contacts must have a 4K7 shunt res istor fitted.
A2K2EndofLine(EOL) resistormustbefitted atthe poin t i n the circuitfurthestfromthecontrol
panel.
Lo op resistance with the EOL resistor shorted must be less than 100 Ohms.
The maximum number of d etection devices allowed in a circuit is ten.
Normally open devices su ch as pressure pads and ex it terminator buttons are connected
across outer t ermi nals
If the detection circuit is not used links can be fitted acros s the zone and tamper loops o r
programm ed as Not Us ed.
